Crab-Thing

Here's another sculpture project I worked on last quarter in my Advanced 3D Modeling class. The idea was to take a sketch, turn it into a base mesh model and then sculpt it in ZBrush.

The Low-Poly Base Mesh (Maya 2010)

Even with the seam issue on the back, I still think it turned out fine. As always, let me know what you think.

Bust Sculpture

Here are a few images of my first Advanced 3D Modeling project from last, a realistic bust done in ZBrush from a base mesh.

I tied to model the bust after one of my favorite actors, Bill Nighy. This was my first venture into ZBrush but, I think it still looks pretty good. Let me know what you think.

Oh Noes! It's teh Zombehs

I'm currently working on a collaborative project with a friend of mine in our Digital Ink and Paint class. Set in a swamp in southern Louisiana, it's a two minute short involving two zombie apocalypse survivors. We each had to design, ink and paint two characters for the short. Here are my two characters.

So, there you are. Let me know what you think. We'll be working on painting our backgrounds next.

J.

Addendum: I'm aware of the inconsistency with Cletus's boots and will be updating that soon.
